Friendly, good-natured and energetic, Groodles are a popular choice of dog for many Australian families.
First bred in 1969, Groodles became popular in Australia over the last 5 to 10 years.
They have the low-shedding qualities of poodles and the affectionate nature of golden retrievers. Often considered hypoallergenic, they are suitable for households sensitive to allergies.
A Groodle’s breeding captures the positive traits of poodles and golden retrievers. This makes them excellent family pets, due to their affectionate nature.
Our dog insurance plans offer coverage for up to 90%* of eligible vet bills, a 21-day cooling-off period, friendly customer service, and the added perk of 2 months free on any new pet insurance plans.
Although a friendly breed, Groodles are high-energy and intelligent. They need lots of physical and mental stimulation to live a happy, healthy life. Groodles require regular walks – twice daily– and plenty of playtime and training.
Their friendly nature and outgoing personality make them naturally social creatures. They are a gentle breed that gets along with people and other dogs – making them an ideal family pet.
